1. Overview
Quaverontis does not currently set advertising, analytics, social-media or cross-site tracking cookies. The website uses a small number of first-party localStorage values for age confirmation, interface continuity and duplicate-entry awareness.
This policy should be read with our Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy covers personal information submitted through the giveaway form; this page focuses on information placed in or read from your web browser.
2. Cookies and local storage
HTTP cookies
A cookie is a small text value that a website asks a browser to store and send back with later requests. Cookies can support essential sessions, preferences, analytics or advertising depending on how a website configures them.
Local browser storage
LocalStorage is a separate browser feature. It allows a site to save small text values on a device, but those values are not automatically attached to every web request. The Quaverontis front end uses localStorage; it does not create its own HTTP cookies.
Similar technologies
Other sites may use pixels, software-development kits, browser fingerprinting, local databases or tracking URLs. Quaverontis does not intentionally use those technologies for advertising or behavioural profiling.
3. What this site currently stores

These browser values do not contain your name, email address, T-shirt choice, size or delivery address. The actual entry is transmitted separately to the secure form endpoint described in the Privacy Policy.
4. Purposes and categories
Strictly necessary and eligibility functions
The age-confirmation value supports the 18+ access restriction. The device-local entry reference supports confirmation and helps reduce accidental duplicate submissions. Removing these values does not withdraw a submitted entry.
Functional display continuity
The activity-count values allow the estimated counter to continue from its last displayed state. The estimate is an interface feature, not the official verified number of eligible entries and is labelled accordingly.
No value is used to calculate a winner, change a person’s odds, determine prize allocation, build a marketing profile or make a decision that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
5. Technologies we do not currently use
Quaverontis does not intentionally deploy:
- advertising or remarketing cookies;
- third-party audience pixels or social-media tracking pixels;
- cross-site behavioural tracking;
- analytics cookies or analytics identifiers;
- affiliate attribution cookies;
- personalisation profiles based on browsing history;
- browser fingerprinting for marketing; or
- cookies connected to payments, deposits, wagering or gambling accounts.
If this changes, we will update this policy and introduce an appropriate consent mechanism before activating non-essential technologies where consent is required.
6. Why there is no cookie banner
The current site does not set non-essential advertising or analytics cookies. Its limited first-party storage supports requested functions and basic interface continuity. For that reason, a consent banner offering advertising or analytics choices would describe features that do not exist and could mislead visitors.
This does not remove your control: you can block or delete localStorage through browser settings at any time. If Quaverontis later adds optional analytics, advertising or comparable tracking, it will reassess consent and notice requirements before deployment.
7. How to inspect, block or delete storage
Most current browsers let you manage site data through privacy, security or site-permission settings. The exact wording varies by browser and version. Common options include:
- viewing stored data for quaverontis.com;
- deleting data for this site only;
- clearing all cookies and site data;
- blocking sites from storing local data; and
- using a private-browsing window, which commonly removes local data when the private session closes.
Browser help documentation provides current device-specific steps. Clearing browser storage does not delete an entry already received by our server. To request access, correction, withdrawal or deletion of submitted entry information, follow the process in the Privacy Policy.
8. What happens if storage is blocked
The informational content and legal pages should remain readable. However:
- the age-confirmation dialog may appear again on later visits;
- the estimated activity display may restart from its baseline;
- the browser may not remember that an entry was successfully submitted; and
- you will need to retain the on-screen reference yourself.
Server-side eligibility rules, the official entry record and the random draw do not depend on optional advertising or analytics cookies.
9. Hosting and third-party websites
Our hosting or security infrastructure may use essential server controls, request logs or protective mechanisms needed to deliver the site and defend it against abuse. If an infrastructure provider introduces a browser cookie, we will assess and describe it here when it is under our control or reasonably known to us.
This site links to external organisations, including New Zealand privacy and support services. Once you follow an external link, that organisation’s own cookie and privacy practices apply. Quaverontis does not control storage set on another organisation’s website.
10. Privacy, security and retention
Browser-storage values are kept on your device and are read by scripts operating for this website. We minimise the values used and do not place giveaway form contents in localStorage. The entry endpoint receives form data only when you actively submit the form.
LocalStorage is not suitable for secrets. Quaverontis therefore does not place passwords, financial information, identity documents or payment credentials there. This website does not request those details.
11. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Some browsers send Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals. Because Quaverontis does not currently conduct cross-site behavioural advertising or sell personal information, there is no advertising profile to switch off in response. We nevertheless design the site to operate without advertising trackers and will reassess signal handling if our practices change.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this page when browser features, website functionality, suppliers or legal requirements change. The date at the top identifies the current version. Material changes involving non-essential tracking will be disclosed before or when the relevant technology is introduced, together with any required controls.
